National Geography Bee 2

Every year practically 5 million students take part in the preliminary rounds of the National Geography Bee, working their way through the four competitors. In the year of 2007 55 state and area winners took part in the first day of competition. Ten finalists continued to be for the second day of competition. Second and third place finishers were from the states of Kansas and Tennessee, correspondingly. The two of these winners took home a $15, 000 school scholarship and a $20, 000 school scholarship.
